Bones are a living substance – they are constantly being rebuilt, remodeled, or broken down. The underlying bone metabolism is a complex process and serves to mineralize bones. The basic building blocks for this are calcium, vitamin D, and K, which are interdependent and therefore highly interdependent. They are also important for the formation of healthy cartilage structures in the joints.

A nutritional deficiency can negatively impact a horse's health and limit the development of a resilient skeleton. Young horses, in particular, require a well-considered nutrient supply during their growth phases.

An increased need may also be present in horses with high levels of athletic activity, lameness and arthritis, acute bone problems due to falls or kicks, as well as chips, osteoporosis, fissures, and much more.

 

How does ESS Bone Protection Liquid work?

ESS Bone Protection Liquid contains a high-quality combination of calcium, vitamins K1 & D3, and chondroitin – the building blocks for building and maintaining a healthy skeleton, effective bone metabolism, and resilient cartilage structures.
Sulfur plays a very important role in maintaining the health of the musculoskeletal system, which is why many products rely on proven MSM as an additional sulfur source. Unfortunately, long-term feeding of MSM is not suitable for particularly sensitive horses with sensitive stomachs. For this reason, we have incorporated stomach-friendly sulfur sources (methionine) into ESS Bone Protection Liquid, which can be easily metabolized even by sensitive horses.

 

When does my horse need ESS Bone Protection Liquid?

ESS Bone Protection Liquid promotes bone metabolism in horses of all ages and supports the skeleton, cartilage, and connective tissue. Young, growing horses, as well as heavily stressed (sport) horses, and horses with musculoskeletal disorders can particularly benefit from this supplement.

The liquid formula is readily accepted, can be easily stirred into small amounts of feed, and allows for precise dosing.

If necessary, the liquid can also be administered using a standard oral syringe, making it ideal for horses with food sensitivities who do not want to consume powder or supplementary feed in general.

Large horses: 25 - 30 ml per day
(contains up to 40 portions)

Riding ponies: 15 ml per day
(contains up to 66 portions)

Intensive treatment: 40 - 50 ml per day
(contains up to 25 portions)

Foals: 5 ml per day
(contains up to 200 portions)

1 to 2 years: 10 ml per day
(contains up to 100 servings)

Bone Protection Liquid can be offered together with hay, muesli, and mash. Horses that are food-critical can be fed with a syringe, for example.

Shake well before use and consume quickly.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Store in a cool, dark place.
The liquid may darken during prolonged storage. This is a natural process and does not affect the high quality.


Feed supplements are not a substitute for a needs-based, varied diet and performance-appropriate training of the horse.
The recommended (daily) dose should not be exceeded in the long term without consulting a treating veterinarian.

Supplementary feed for horses & ponies

Composition:
Dicalcium phosphate, glucosamine (chitosamine)

Analytical constituents:
1.85% crude protein, 1.24% crude fat, 1.48% crude fiber, 6.74% crude ash, 82.95% moisture, 2.00% calcium, 1.55% phosphorus, 0.12% sodium

Additives per liter:
Vitamins, provitamins and chemically defined substances with similar effects: 300,000.00 IU Vitamin D3 (3a671), 150.00 mg Vitamin K1 from Phytomenadione (3a712)
Amino acids, their salts and analogues: 10,000.00 mg L-Methionine (3c305)
Preservatives: 2,100.00 mg Sorbic acid from potassium sorbate (1k202), 3,900.00 mg Propionic acid from sodium propionate (1k281), 3,440.00 mg Lactic acid (1a270)

This product is 100% doping-free (tested according to FEI/ADMR control guidelines).

The feeding recommendations and dosage information must be followed. If compliance cannot be guaranteed, it is sufficient to discontinue use of the product 48 hours before the competition.

Fissur ausgeheilt

Hat schnell bei einer fiesen Fissur geholfen. Röntgen ist tip-top. Sicherheitshalber füttere ich es noch einige Wochen weiter. Die Knochenstruktur ist allgemein nicht ideal.
Es wird super gut gefressen und riecht auch für die menschliche Nase sehr lecker.
